Hand Kick!

You know, I was fine
with school until it stopped me from playing my recently
purchased copy of Capcom vs. SNK 2 EO. Now I've got mixed
feelings.
U-La-Tu-Ra-Mannnnn!
September 24
I realized I haven't updated in a while, but I've
really got nothing to say right now. So I'll just bring
up the point that Ultraman is coming
to American televisions.
This throws a wrench
in my current theory that Ultraman is copyrighted by the
entire nation of Japan as opposed to a single corporate
entity. Anyone who has watched Japanese television
knows that the guy shows up far too much to simply be
owned by one company. He's in every other
commercial. It's not like they'd take the time to
license the rights for him every single time. I
figured he was public domain or something.
That so?

I'm torn. I'm not a fan of
people putting internet quizzes on their journals, and
this allows me to express my opinions about them.
However, in doing so, I'm
putting up such a quiz.
Lousy
idiosyncrasies.

Play dat funky music

Some songs really aught to stick to their good
parts. Not to say I'm for overly repetitious songs
that just repeat the chorus over and over again, but
some songs really diverge from what they have going for
them in the first place.
Take "Magic Carpet
Ride" by Steppenwolf. It's a perfectly good
song, an exceptional one in fact for the first half, and
then sort of slides into this odd organ solo for the
latter half. Now, the organ solo is fine, but it really
breaks the energy and mood set by the song.
"Roller Coaster" by the Ohio Players, on the
other hand, have only one good part to the song, and
then just padded it with extraneous bits. That's
why I like the Red Hot Chili Peppers cover. It kept up
the pace through whole song.
Friday the Yesterday
September 14
Although it’s technically Saturday the 14th
by now, I still wanted to bring up the subject of Friday
the 13th.
I find the concept of an inherently unlucky day
to be very satisfying.
Think of it this way: All other days of the year,
you have lucky people and unlucky people.
On Friday the 13th however, everyone
is unlucky. It
evens the playing field.
I find it to be a highly democratic notion.
I’ve
got some poetry, reviews,
an entry in Me Talking, and and
a little something extra in the Writing section.
I'm not going to link to it here because I want people
to understand fully what they're getting themselves into
when they do.
The
dog's name is Putty.
INOSHISHI!
September 6
I have a dog now. This morning I had no idea I would
have one, but, here we are. It's an eight week old
Shiba Inu.
As whenever something is set to
be named, I always helpfully suggest the moniker of
"The Dreaded Inoshishi," but chances are
looking slim right about now. We're either looking
at Kit, Ringo, or Putty. The last one is meant to
continue of our tradition of naming pets after
characters in Seinfeld, our last dog being Kramer.

I have no idea what makes Project
Dolphin so intriguing, besides its quizzically
inappropriate name that is, but I ended up joining
anyway. See my statistics here.
I also put them in the personal section, sense I suppose
it falls into that category.
